FWO Rules And Regulations

The following is the first official Fantasy Online Wrestling competition format as agreed upon by the board of directors September 8, 2009:

Division Structure

The FWO will be divided into three divisions:  Premier, Professional, and Developmental.  The focus of FWO will primarily be the Premier Division.

Premier Division:  The Premier Division will be the focus at FWO.  Initially, it will consist of six (6) female wrestlers.  The FWO Title, when instituted, can only be challenged for by a Premier Division wrestler.  Wrestlers may lose Premier Division status through a promotion match from a Professional Division wrestler, granted or arranged by the board of directors.

Professional Division:  Professional Division matches will serve as under card bouts, receiving second class status at FWO.  Wrestlers enter the Professional Division either from the Developmental division or relegated from the Premier Division.  Wrestlers cannot drop to the Developmental Division unless they retire from the FWO or they are deemed too inexperienced by the board of directors.  There is no limit to the amount of wrestlers in the Professional Division.

New Wrestlers

Mixed wrestling trials have been officially ended.  The only way for a wrestler to earn a spot in the Professional and Premier divisions is to train as a developmental wrestler.  All wrestlers must be 19 years of age and sign the appropriate paperwork.

Wrestler Rankings

Wrestlers will be ranked in their appropriate divisions by the board of directors.  Additionally, wrestlers will earn experience points throughout their career.  Experience points will also be taken into consideration when determining which wrestlers get title shots and who fights in promotion matches.  The initial point structure is as follows:

Premier Division victory:  20 pts
Premier Division defeat:  2 pts
Professional Division victory:  10 pts
Professional Division defeat:  1 pts
Specialty match victory:  10 pts
Specialty match defeat:  1 pts

* Developmental wrestlers receive no experience points.

Male Wrestlers

Currently, male wrestlers at FWO are in a non-competitive status.  Mixed matches are considered specialty matches.  When male wrestlers get the go-ahead to enter the competition, four shall be selected for the Premier Division, the rest will be in the Professional Division.

Match Types

Pro-style matches:  Matches in a ring with a referee under the normal rules of professional wrestling unless otherwise specified.

Studio matches:  Conducted on the FWO mat, subjected to wrestling rules by an observer and may only end in a submission.

Oil matches:  Timed matches at the FWO club, the winner determined by a team of judges if no submission or knockout is obtained.

Boxing matches:  Not you typical boxing bout.  Basically a last person standing match with a referee.
