Club Fantasy

Fantasy Wrestling Online has just inked a deal with the newly renamed Club Fantasy here in Los Angeles to host certain specialty matches.  We have also taken on a minority stake in the club and will operate the huge VIP balcony, the location of such events.  We look forward to a thriving partnership with our new business associates.  Look for the debut match from Club Fantasy in two days time.  Little hint:  It's an oil match!

Porshe: One Match Away

Porshe is the largest woman in FWO, and she is also one of the strongest and toughest!  Her first three victories were so impressive, they earned her a spot in the first ever FWO title match.  Find out what the lady from NYC has to say about her opportunity, her chances of winning, and her opponent Paloma!

FWO-21: Promotion Match - Natalie vs Selena

It's time for the final Premier Division qualifier!  Natalie won the fan poll, and now she is taking on Selena in an amateur wrestling match.  The winner must either submit their opponent or hold their shoulders to the mat for a count of ten.  Who will take the last spot in FWO's top division?

Where's All The Mixed Wrestling?

To all you mixed wrestling fans out there, good news is on the horizon.  Mixed wrestling will be returning to FWO soon in a big way!  For now, we have sent some of the more impressive men to a local pro wrestling school while the ladies fight it out for supremacy.  When the dust gets settled, mixed wrestling will be brought back on a temporary basis until we can firm up the division structure.  When we feel we can accommodate the men on a competitive level, we will do so.  The tentative plan right now is to allow the men to wrestle the ladies in every kind of match except for street fighting, but that could change.  So, sit tight "battle of the sexes" fans and keep checking back here for updates.

Developmental Event Report

We moved the ladies in training back into the studio for this week's round of matches.  Here's how the card went down:

FWO-20: Promotion Match - Suki vs Rosin

Huge match ahead of Suki and Rosin to see who earns a spot in the Premier Division.  It's Rosin's upper body against Suki's lower body.  Who will win out?

FWO Title Match Announcement

Hello wrestling fans!  The board of directors at FWO have seen enough and have booked the first ever FWO title match!  Porshe and Paloma will square off to see who will be crowned FWO champion and awarded the belt pictured to the left.  The match will take place inside a ring under pro style rules.  Much more to come on this historic match in the near future.

FWO-19: Carmen vs Paloma

Carmen comes into the match as the bookie's favorite to capture the first ever FWO title.  Carmen took the long road to the Premier Division, and was rank fourth out of four by our board of directors.  The betting windows have seen a lot of pro-Carmen traffic and the crowd in the arena smells blood.  Is this the squash match some of you have been waiting for?

FWO-18: Lotta vs Selena

Lotta and Selena square off to see who gets a shot at Natalie for the Premier Division qualifier.  Lotta has the size advantage, but Selena makes up for it and then some with her latina fire!  We couldn't wait for this one here at FWO, so click on the link and enjoy!

Developmental Event Report

We held a closed door developmental wrestler card in our new mat room last night.  All the matches were submission or a 10-second pin to get the fall.  Here are the results:

FWO-17: Sally vs Porshe

Here we go!  The Premier Division kicks off with a pro style match between Sally and Porshe.  Porshe has a good size advantage, and Sally will be unable to use her nefarious techniques.  This one may have "squash" written all over it.  It's also the first FWO match inside a ring and in front of a crowd in the makeshift incomplete FWO Arena.

Natalie's Decision

We gave Natalie a few options for her match location:  professional ring, cage, and amateur mat (FYI, the night club where we will be hosting oil wrestling and foxy boxy is not complete yet).  Given her background, it comes to no surprise Natalie decided to go with the brand spanking new FWO mat room for her second shot at the Premier Division.  But who will she choose for her prospective opponents?  Find out in our interview with the young wrestling phenom:

Natalie Wins Another Premier Division Shot

The poll has closed and Natalie is the winner!  What the board of directors have decided is to hold two qualifying matches between the four ladies who recently won their trials.  Natalie will chose which match she would like to face the winner of in a Premier Division qualifying match.  The match Natalie chooses to avoid will become a one off qualifying match.  Not only will she be able to narrow down her prospective opponent, but she will also be deciding what kind of match it will be and the location, chosen from a few of our soon to be debuted fighting locals.  Here are the matches Natalie has to choose from:

FWO-16: Selena vs Julio

The last of our trials has a distinctively Latin feel as Mexican-born Selena grapples with Julio, who hails from Costa Rica.  Selena has a tough, explosive personality.  Julio is a macho bodybuilder who doesn't think all that highly of women when it comes to physical competition.  With two such strong-willed grapplers, this has "heated encounter" written all over it.

FWO-15: Failed Trials

For the most part, the trials shown thus far have been overwhelmingly dominated by the ladies.  In reality, that wasn't the case.  We have wanted to showcase the female talent, so a lot of the matches left on the cutting room floor have been won by the men.  Quite a few prospective female wrestlers have come in, failed their trials, and then quit because the competition was just too rough for them!  Here's some highlights from a few of our favorite trials in which the men take it to the women:

Match Announcements

Fantasy Wrestling Online has been a hectic place as of late.  We are building our infrastructure and will be debuting some of our new wrestling facilities in the very near future!  We also have some exciting matches on the horizon:

FWO-14: Lotta vs Claude

Announcing FWO Scoop

Fantasy Wrestling Online has set up an official Twitter account!  We're calling it "FWO Scoop" and it will be the way for our fans to keep up with all the behind the scenes happenings.  It'll also be a good way to keep up with special announcements and alerts on when matches are posted.  You can follow the feed in the right sidebar right here, or by clicking on the Twitter icon located on the right side of the top navigation bar.

This feed will be managed by two of my special assistants, who also happens to be in training as developmental wrestlers.  We feel this will give you a unique and exciting perspective on our burgeoning young wrestling company!

FWO-12: Rosin vs Big T

Who Deserves A Second Shot?

Fantasy Wrestling Online is getting flooded with wanna be wrestlers. We have found quite a few potential superstars, and many have already proven their worth through trials (keep coming back to see some of them). However, there are only two more spots left in the initial Premier Division. To give an advantage to some of the girls who have been here from the outset, at least one loser from the last round of Premier Division qualifying matches will get a direct shot at the big time.

In order to pick which wrestler gets a do-over, we decided to hold a poll to let the fans decide. You can find it at the top of the right sidebar. In other words, here's your chance to book a match at FWO! So, vote for your favorite from the girls below:

From The Boss's Desk 9/2

Many matches are in the can or in the pipeline, and I'm debating whether I should publish them when complete or put them out in regular intervals. This is a free site, so I'm under no obligation to deliver periodic updates. Using that logic, I should just publish matches as I go. However, I do realize the way 20 updates in 10 days followed by no updates in a month looks on a blog.

I think a compromise will be best for now. So, I am going to schedule matches to be posted around 2-3 days apart. Due to my real world situation dealing with a new job starting in a few weeks, this will make the most sense.

In the meantime, while I pump out a good amount of matches, I'll also be posting profiles, interviews, etc... in between the scheduled matches to add more story and backdrop to the federation I'm creating here.

So, keep coming back to FWO and post if you like what you see. I'm always up for suggestions, so feel free to let me know what you want to see.
